What Gebo is
Gebo is a place where people give away things they no longer need, for free. We introduce you to each other – the handover is between the two of you, and we are not part of it.
Your account
The account is yours alone: don't let anyone else use it, and keep your details current.
What you may post
Things that are yours to give, legal to own and pass on, and that you genuinely intend to give away for free. No animals, no medicines, no weapons, nothing stolen and nothing quietly being sold.
Giving and collecting
Everyone who swipes right joins a queue, and the giver goes through it in order. Agree a time and place in the chat, and meet somewhere with people around if you can. Check the item when you collect it – we can't promise it is whole, clean or working.
Plus
Plus is an optional subscription: more swipes, more liked things and extra perks. You can cancel whenever you like.
Be decent
Be kind to the people you meet here. No harassment, no made-up accounts, nothing that makes Gebo feel unsafe for anyone else.
When we take things down
We can remove a listing or suspend an account that breaks these terms. Tell us if you think we got it wrong – we'll answer.
Our responsibility
Gebo is provided as it is. We aren't responsible for the things that change hands or for what happens when you meet, but we of course carry the responsibility the law places on us.
Changes
We may change these terms. If a change matters, we'll say so in the app before it takes effect.
Swedish law
Swedish law applies and disputes go to Swedish courts. As a consumer you can also take a complaint to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN).
