How it works
Give
Post something you don't need anymore: a lamp, a crib, a box of books. It's always free.
Swipe
Items near you show up one at a time. Swipe right on the ones you want, left on the rest. No search box – just whatever happens to be around the corner.
Pick up
Swipe right and you join the queue. The giver talks to whoever is first – if that's you, you agree on a time and place. A wish puts you ahead of everyone who just swiped right.
Give more, get more
Every time someone picks up something you give away, you earn XP. Each new level gives you a wish to keep, and along the way you get more swipes and more room in Likes.
It doesn't stop at level 10 – you keep climbing for as long as you give.

FAQ
Is Gebo really free?
Yes. Giving and taking items on Gebo costs nothing. Plus is optional: for 59 SEK per month you get more swipes, more room in Likes and wishes.
How do I find things?
You swipe. Gebo shows you one item at a time, in random order but always with the closest things first. Swipe right on what you want and left on the rest.
Why can't I search?
Because the fun is finding what you didn't know you needed. Without a search box everything gets a chance to be seen – even the lamp nobody would have looked for.
How do pickups work?
Everyone who swipes right joins a queue, in the order they swiped. The giver talks to whoever is first, and if they can't make it, moves on to the next. When it's your turn we'll let you know – then you agree on a time and place in the app and pick it up yourself. Make a wish and you go ahead of everyone who just swiped right – if several people wish for the same thing, they line up in the order they wished.
What's limited on the free plan?
You get 20 swipes a day and can have 2 things in Likes at a time. Once one of them is gone – you removed it, or the giver gave it away – you can like something new. With Plus you get 100 swipes a day and room for 5.
How do levels work?
You level up by giving things away: each thing that gets picked up earns 100 XP. Every new level gives you a wish to keep, and some also bring more swipes, another spot in Likes or a new tag – bronze, silver and finally gold. Levels count with or without Plus.
Where does Gebo work?
Gebo is launching in Sweden first.
Can I cancel Plus anytime?
Yes. Plus is billed monthly and you can cancel whenever you want. You keep your perks until the end of the month you've paid for.
